airberlin technik, part of the airberlin group, has been formed by the merger of three airline maintenance departments: the former Air Berlin technical department has maintained the rapidly growing Air Berlin fleet of B737 Aircraft and A320 Family since 1991; the former LTU Technik has maintained a variety of aircraft since 1955 including the L-1011, MD11, B737, B757, B767, A330 and the A320 Family; the former dba technical department has maintained their fleet of B737 aircraft since 1992.

airberlin technik is an EASA Part 145 organisation with approximately 1200 employees providing services to both the aircraft operating within the airberlin group and customers throughout Europe.
